My ambition is to contribute to teams and organizations, enabling them to create meaningful and impactful innovations.
I believe that my unique contribution is in “making innovation work”: bringing together relevant actors and stakeholders to embrace shared goals, followed by pragmatically embedding innovative approaches into their teams, organizations or partnerships.
I want to work with you and your team, engage deeply into your challenges and opportunities and contribute to the new directions and approaches that you need.

My background
I have led large teams in all stages of innovation, such as research, advanced development, product development and venturing.
- I’ve gone through the stages from active researcher and project manager, via operational leadership, towards executive roles, such as Chief Technology Officer of a very large business and Vice President in Research.
- I have driven all associated processes, from competency management and organizational change, over the various operational R&D processes, into ecosystem innovation.
- I’m fascinated by the human factor and by the impact that a team’s passionate focus on shared goals can have.
I have been active and have led teams in a multitude of technologies and applications.
- Originally, I have been an active researcher in the fields of physics, optics, mathematics, digital signal processing and lithography (for optical disc mastering).
- In my leadership positions, I have extended my experience into electronics, mechatronics, software, IC design, informatics and biomedical engineering.
- More recently I have led a big transformation towards artificial intelligence and deep learning.
- On the application side, the first half of my career was focused on the consumer space: optical storage, audio and video recording, television and lighting systems.
- During the second half I have dived into various clinical areas, such as imaging systems, image guided therapies, patient monitoring, pathology, clinical and operational informatics, and hospital related services.
As a result of my team’s contributions, numerous innovative products, solutions and services have been launched in consumer and healthcare markets, based on a broad spectrum of technological advances.
